About this deal

I think it's a fab product but my only reservation is the fact that you can only make 2 bears with the kit.

It is a great experience for children to be able to do and would make the perfect gift for any Build-A-Bear fan. Eva is nearly 5 which I think is an ideal age for the kit as I know she will be able to use it for a few more years as her love for Build-A-Bear will be sure to continue for years to come. We did not realise until doing the second bear, that it is best to almost “screw” the bear on to the side. The Build-A-Bear stuffing station is a kit that allows your children to make two of their very own Build-A-Bear cuddly friends from the comfort of their own home. The bear will pop off occasionally but this is a sign for you to use your fingers to push the stuffing into smaller areas of the bear such as the hands and legs.

One bear requires one bag of stuffing, simply put a bag of stuffing into the stuffing station, place one of the bears over the nozzle and begin to turn the handle clockwise. What I immediately love about this toy is the fact that no batteries are needed, a big plus from a parent point of view.It was quite tricky to keep the bear attached / hooked onto the nozzle of the stuffing station where the stuffing comes out. This toy was all about the experience of building the bears rather than the end product in my opinion. Once you have pushed the stuffing further into the bear, repeat the process until all of the stuffing is is inside the bear. You also get some pop out cardboard accessories and birth certificates for your bears, and of course the stuffing station itself. Even though there are only 2 t-shirts included in the kit, she must've got her bear changed at least 10 times in the space of about 10 minutes.

A handy zip fastening makes closing up your bear super easy and means if your child wishes to change the picture inside their bear's heart it is really easy to do. The machine is suitable for those who are interested in creating a unique plush toy that can be used as a gift or a keepsake.use the station to stuff 2 furry friends, make a wish in the hearts, dress them in unique outfits, and name them on their birth certificates. Children aged 4 years and over can use the Build-a-Bear Stuffing Station to stuff two furry friends, make a wish in the hearts, dress them in unique outfits, and name them on their birth certificates all from the comfort of their own home. From playgroups, education and English Tutors to events, activities and fun for all the family, you are in the right place! The Build-A-Bear Stuffing station is a kit that brings the magical experience of making your own teddy bear into your home. There's nothing worse than wrestling with a toy box when you have a very excited child, eagerly awaiting their new toy.

However the bears are considerably smaller (measuring around 8 inches tall once stuffed) and for me don't have that Build-A-Bear "feel". Since then we've had many more of these creations come into our house, including my youngest's favourite cuddly toy, Chewbacca. If you are looking for a unique and fun gift idea for any child who loves teddies or Build-A-Bear I would really recommend considering the stuffing station as I think all children will enjoy the experience of making their own teddy bear! This added an extra element to the toy, giving it a learning aspect as well as the fun side of it all. Thank goodness because my kids were eager to get started, I'll be honest they haven't been this excited about a toy in a long time!

Once their bears were stuffed the girls then proceeded to pop their hearts inside and fill out their birth certificates.
