About this deal

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. But through its several faults, Colin Trevorrow managed to pull together a decent enough and entertaining send-off for the franchise… for now. Universal's 4K release of Dominion is at least a spectacular one, affording fans both cuts of the film - and the longer cut is marginally better though, unfortunately, also even longer - as well as fabulous native 4K video with Dolby Vision, and a thumping DTS: X soundtrack, along with a bunch of decent extras.

For more about Jurassic World: Dominion and the Jurassic World: Dominion Blu-ray release, see Jurassic World: Dominion Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on August 18, 2022 where this Blu-ray release scored 3. The only caveat to this for Jurassic World Dominion was that the negative reviews the big screen release picked up might have a knock on impact on when the DVD, Blu-ray and digital would come out. However, it has a very diverse cast, so maybe that explains why it got panned by a lot of the public. Even a cluttered tent when we first meet Alan Grant is a great example of what this conversion offered up with a tight cluttered location filled with objects all experiencing some measure of depth. The latest installment roars into home theaters with the same monstrous, reference-quality DTS:X soundtrack enjoyed on the 4K Ultra HD edition. The latest blockbuster arrives on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray™ on August 16 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The late Michael Crichton’s 1990 book has proved a magnificent source of adventure, excitement, thrills and fun ever since. The finale of the blockbuster dino-franchise, while bringing back some much-welcomed familiar faces, ignores all the interesting set-up of the previous entry and falls back on tired old storytelling tropes, reliant on some admittedly extraordinary set pieces and little else. It's a throaty, powerful audio offering, boisterous and engulfing for the ride, even occasionally making it a marginally less choresome one .

Where ‘Jurassic Park’s’ slow-burn and grand reveals had awe in abundance, this has none – there is nothing here you haven’t seen multiple times before. Black levels are inky and deep, and, aside from some of the actual cinematic choices (or choices to be less than cinematic), the image is hard to fault from a presentation point of view. In the other meantime, the old new characters have to also get reintroduced, like Heels, Bryce Dallas Howards' protagonist, who has matured in footwear choices over the last couple of movies and randomly adopted the precocious Maisie from the last movie, although struggles to have any meaningful dialogue with her because script/and/or/acting says no.

It doesn’t take long into Jurassic World Dominion to see that the brilliance of Jurassic Park has been lost along the way. The story here has, by definition, many of the same elements as the other 5 ‘Jurassic’ films: Dinosaurs, thrills, jeopardy ~ and lots and lots of teeth. CREATING A PLAGUE - Laura Dern and Bryce Dallas Howard discuss the enormous locusts featured in Jurassic World Dominion and the creature effects team reveals how they were created and deployed.

There have been some changes in North America, though, with early access Home Premier digital rental also being accompanied by a purchase option much higher that at the later date. BioSyn, ostensibly philanthropic, is surreptitiously controlling the genetics of oversized locusts so they eat only non-BioSyn crops removing that competition from the food chain.

Like the prologue, Battle at Big Rock is something that Universal released ahead of time to build hype for Dominion.
